Bravo Keralites

Literacy though lay in Litters, strewn around by the literate populace of this little state; today is a day to cherish because you behaved literate.
Though hopes came raining down as frustrated cardboard bits from the upper tier of the stadium yet they kept their cool and left the stadium in peace.
About 50,000 or less, who cares. The standards of a cricket loving spectators were undamped by the dampening rain.
Bravo Ground Staff! You did the best to give us hope for till we left the stadium.
Tried hard! KCA, but next time be better prepared for the rains and drains in Kerala will always stretch you to the limit. Why don't any one innovate a method where by the efforts of the hardworking humans don't go waste. IPL ! if it happens ! Will it be so?
Remember an idea can sometimes bring the money.

One Day at Kochi....

Hopes dampened and damned by the rain. This was the first international match which i chose to see.
Cricket to me began when in the North East of India. A player who played with a passion for the game. Unsuccessful because the game was just developing in the North East. Potentials unnoticed still now i feel. Unexploited physique, wasted in addictions.
Times when Kapil, Sunil, Srikanth, Sashtri, Azar, and latest to this list Sachin was in form.
Bowled over by Vivians play. When years went by cricket laid aside. My visions limited to the television.
Such was my passion that i named my eldest son Vivian; to honour the game and the place where i was born.
A coach who began coaching with a coconut branch and a tennis ball. He grew up with an interest of the game. Failed selections many a times, but yet determined.
Vivian is now in the Ernakulam District Cricket Academy. One among a batch of 11. He had to sacrifice his education in one of Kochi's good schools where I am a teacher now.
I don't know if it is a gamble. I hope it is for good.
We were sitting on both sides of the stadium hoping to see our first international match. We communicated through the phone till the saddening news that play is abandoned.
So with kindled hopes i await. May be i will see him play one day before lights gone.

Commonwealth Games "The Indian Way"

Bravo! the organisers , the critics, the media and the ever ignorant people of India

The Show went on and is over. We could do it regardless of all the mud slinging and stone throw.
We did what we could. For some time we forgot
Hunger
Anger
Pain
Religious differences
Corruption
and Political Tug o War.
And for the things to come the Indian Show will go on. Now there is enough agenda for oppositions and debates in parliament and talk shows
The poor Indian is habituated to watching commercial breaks between any drama of Life and death.

Who will be there on earth?

Man, who claim to have the capability to invent and discover is the most foolish of any creature alive on earth.
What a wise man is he who destroys his only home. He speaks of peaceful coexistence while being at war within himself.
No sympathy, no love, no feelings just greed that leads him to the edge of the ledge from where he falls into hopelessness.
But there is still hope! because some day we will discover another place to exist. Unfortunately, we may not be there. Who will be there then?
